Senior Attorney
Rona Gura, Esq. is a Senior Attorney at Hedayati Law Group P.C. with more than two decades of experience handling matrimonial and family law matters throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the five boroughs of New York City.
Ms. Gura brings a distinctive combination of sophisticated litigation experience, strong appellate and legal writing skills, and a personal understanding of the divorce process. Having experienced her own post-judgment matrimonial proceeding, she understands firsthand that divorce and family law matters involve far more than legal issues alone. She approaches each client with empathy and perspective while providing the strong advocacy necessary to protect her clients' interests.
Ms. Gura graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Stony Brook, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and began her legal career in the litigation department of a large New York City law firm. During her time there, she advanced to a position in which she handled nearly all of the firm's appellate work, developing extensive experience in complex litigation, legal research, writing, and advocacy.
More than twenty years ago, Ms. Gura transitioned from large-firm litigation to focus her practice exclusively on matrimonial and family law. Since then, she has represented clients through every stage of the legal process, from the initial consultation and negotiation through settlement, hearings, and trial.
